SCAD Style Spotlight: Clara Miller
SCAD Style Spotlight: Clara Miller
Meet Clara Miller…
Major?
Art History! I want to be a historical advisor for film and television.
Interests?
I love Motown music, vegan gelato, and all spring flowers (especially lilacs and magnolias).
How would you describe your style?
I would describe my day-to-day style as farm-chic, which is practicality mixed with classics.
If you could spend a day with any one person, who would it be and why?
If I could spend a day with anyone, I would probably choose Peter Jackson. We would watch all of the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies back-to-back and I would ask him to share all of his best anecdotes from the filming process.
How has art influenced or enriched your life?
I have no life without art. I grew up in an unusual dichotomy: I played in the woods and read art history books. But for me, there was no difference between the two because I used both scenarios to create stories. In the woods, I was a fairy, but in the art history books, I could be a responsible princess (an important distinction), a goddess, a heroine. Art expanded my world beyond my tangible horizons. I hope it continues to do so all my life.
Embrace Your Misfit Soul,
xoxo Julia B.
