Mascara, for many of us, is an absolute makeup must-have- an essential facet to our daily beauty regime. It was one of the first products we were allowed to start wearing (ah, what a time middle school was), and remains an absolute staple in our makeup collection. As someone who is a die-hard makeup junkie, I’ve tried quite the selection of both high-end and drugstore products- some being fabulous, others proving to be a complete waste of money. Although there are a lot of incredible products out there that are absolutely worth the splurge, I find that mascara isn’t something that needs to be costly in order to be good. From my experience, most drugstore mascaras are just as good, if not better, than a lot of higher end mascaras. With that said, many of us young folks can’t afford to blow $30 on a tube of black eyelash gunk, so why even bother? Not to worry, my friends! I have put together a list of my favorite drugstore mascaras, all of which are perfect for those of you who are ballin’ on a budget. Gotta save some cash to spend on that Chipotle, am I right?

years, and I promise you that it won’t disappoint!
Maybelline has a lot of really great mascaras, and this one is one of my favorites. It applies smoothly, doesn’t clump (I did have a lot of clumping issues with their Falsies mascara, although a lot of people do love that one), and it does a great job at giving your lashes volume and curl.
One word for this mascara- AWESOME. My sister actually swore by this mascara for years, and it always made her lashes look absolutely incredible. The silicone bristles help to separate your lashes without clumping, and it gives amazing length to your lashes.
This is another product that I’ve sworn by for years, and it’s never disappointed! This mascara doesn’t lengthen as much, but it provides really great volume, and, paired with a lengthening mascara like L’oreal Telescopic, works absolute wonders!
A newer take on the classic Voluminous mascara, this product has a super cool brush that applies mascara so, so well. I actually bought this the other day, and have been loving it. My lashes stay lengthened all day, and it doesn’t smudge in the nasty Georgia humidity! BLESS this mascara.
