Floral Dresses and $2.50 Zucchini Bread
Happy October everyone! God, I love fall- don’t we all? The multi-colored leaves that twirl around to and fro in the crisp, autumn air, the warmth of cozy sweaters worn-in scarves, apple cider and pumpkin spice lattes- fall is utterly perfect. But guess what? Georgia doesn’t have fall. Instead, we’re stuck in an eternal summer of 87 degree weather with 98 percent humidity. “Hot and sweaty” is a forever physical state in the state of Georgia, and let me tell you- it is miserableeee. Truth be told, I don’t even think I’ve seen a pumpkin yet. It’s a disaster. Aside from my anti-fall surroundings, I’m happy to say that I’ve been living the good life. Drinking multiple cups of coffee on the daily, only having classes two days out of the week, and eating zucchini bread almost every day (alongside a horchata latte). The sad part of this is that I’ve powered through the gift card I got for my favorite coffee shop (sorry, Mom)- but in my defense, horchata lattes and zucchini bread really tend to add up! Since I obviously need to put some sort of verbal content before the actual photos, I decided to list a few things that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed during the last month. Will monthly favorites be a new type of post? Possibly, but I’m not very good with consistency, as you’ve probably noticed. I am good, though, at spending money on zucchini bread and lattes everyday- that’s for sure.
A Random Accumulation of Things I Enjoyed During the Month of September:
1. Zucchini Bread (also with some peanut butter on top- would 10/10 recommend)
2. Horchata Lattes
3. Binge watching New Girl with the boyfriend. Who needs parties when you have Schmidt and Jessica Day?
4. Listening to the Mamma Mia soundtrack on repeat. My boyfriend was not a fan of this one, but I just really love Dancing Queen.
5. Wearing my hair up 24/7 because its 3000 degrees here and the humidity makes my hair look like someone blow dried a lion’s mane to look extra fluffy.
6. Peanut butter. That’s all.
7. SoBe Snickerdoodle ice cream- not any ice cream though, cashew milk ice cream.
8. Netflix documentaries (very underrated, surprisingly interesting)
9. Sam Edelman slip-on sneakers
10. Neglecting to shave for weeks at a time and feeling perfectly fine because I go to art school.
11. Having a somewhat healthy sleep regime for the first time since I was like, 9.
